After weeks (going on months) of scouring Craigslist for a dresser to replace the one in our room, I finally found one!

This one came from a little old lady’s house in South Charlotte. She was moving to Atlanta with her Daughters so she was selling a lot of her furniture out of her house. I made Jason meet up with them on a Saturday afternoon while I was at work. The dresser came as a set with another matching taller bureau. I don’t have a photo of that one yet, but it’s just like the longer version but skinny and tall. Not bad for $80.
Oh, yeah, BTW we pulled up the carpet in out bedroom and painted the floor white. I guess I should post about that…

I have grand plans for our master bedroom. I had grand dreams of owning one of these beautiful beds ::

Alas, it would take a lot of weeks to save up for one of these fabulous Anthropologie beds. So then I thought I would go the cheaper route ::

These beds from Ikea are great and affordable, but I still really don’t have the money to spend on a new peice of furniture for the bedroom. I need a dining room table and a couch first. So I’ve decided to do this ::

Mattress + box spring on the floor. Sans headboard. Now I just need to figure out how to keep the dogs off the white bed linens when we are not around…hmm..
