I don’t want to offend anyone here, but personally I think this chandelier is ugly. That’s just my taste. The people we bought this house from LOVED wrought iron. It was everywhere. Lights, sconces, TP holders, curtain rods, you name it, if you could get it in wrought iron, it was in the house. That just goes to show you how different peoples design tastes are.
I finally decided that in order to get rid of the large iron piece that I kept knocking my head on, I was going to replace it with a light fixture I bought on eBay years ago. It hung in our dining room in our old house back in Columbia.
After about an hour of frustrating installation and a trip to Lowes, we got it up and secure. It has two bulbs that are burned out, so before I take any pictures with the light on I want to replace them.
The glass globes are cracked glass that give off an awesome effect on the walls when turned on. It looks great against the grey dining room (of which I have yet to show the finished product).
It also has this sticker on the inside of the cap:
Made in Hopkinsville, KY. Union made. I can’t make out the word before Laboratories. Anyone have any information on this sticker or perhaps when this light fixture was made and by whom it was designed? Just a little curious.
